It’s very easy to submit your work to Fiction Feedback.

Read How to Submit for the details, especially regarding Novel Extracts. See Plays, Poetry and Short Stories for more info on submitting work in those genres.

Once you have your work ready for submission, click on the submission form

At the end of the form you’ll be asked to attach your document; both are emailed to us.

We then send you an electronic invoice, usually within 24 hours. You pay securely by credit or debit card, or by PayPal.
If you’d rather send a cheque, that’s fine. The form gives you this opportunity.

If you want to submit your work by post, please see Postal Submissions.

"Thanks very much. I am very impressed! Your reviewer has done a very thorough job, helping and not depressing me. I will take on board her/his advice.
Will be back for more!" ~ MT

Our service

We’re a panel of passionate reviewers with a clear understanding of what makes good fiction. We will read your work and appraise it objectively – unlike family and friends.

High professional standards are at the heart of our written appraisals. Many of our reviewers have backgrounds in the worlds of publishing, education or professional writing.

What we offer
• objective opinion, based only on your writing and not on anything else about you;
• detailed, considered critiques, which you might want to quote in your submission to a publisher or agent;
• up to 4 appraisals, each by a different reviewer, for greater feedback;
• a checklist rating, which should help you in assessing and developing your writing;
• affordable prices.

What we don't offer
• we have no formal links to publishers of fiction or literary agents and so we can’t recommend work to them;
• we can’t guarantee your work will be published, no matter how much we think it might deserve to be;
• an editing service along the critiques – however, we do provide basic editing and a full, expert proof-reading service for spelling and grammatical errors, on request.

Appraisals are usually between one and two A4 pages, single-spaced. They will look at elements such as characterisation, plot development, style, credibility, structure and the writing itself. You choose if you want one, two, three or four reviews.

Accompanying each review will be a checklist, rating elements of your writing, usually on a scale of 1-5, where 1 = needs more work, and 5 = excellent. For examples, go to Sample Appraisal.

Please remember every appraisal is subjective. This reflects real life, where one reader might hugely enjoy a book that someone else dislikes – this applies to agents and publishers too!
