Fiction Feedback was delighted to copy-edit this charming romance from Karen Ann Davies some while ago. Now it’s published, and we can all escape to Greece. Which is a good thing at the best of times, and now is just what we all need. The novel’s about more than escapism, though. There are some serious points here about the impact of our childhood and how dodgy precepts we learn then are hard to shake off. In The Essence of Love, Katie makes a journey in every sense, and very rewarding it is too. A lovely book for summer 2020.
